Office Manager (Financial background) – £28,000 per annum – Bury St Edmunds

Working with a long standing business that is considered one of the top suppliers of their products within the UK. Their small head office in Bury St Edmunds, has a warehouse as well as a distribution centre and cover the UK with their clients. The small knit team are very close and are looking for a new Manager to join the team. The current General Manager who has been there for a long time, is going to continue working in the business to give an extensive handover to the person replacing them.

There is an assortment of duties to be in charge of which are relating to finance, HR, supply chain and other ad hoc duties. It really is an opportunity where you will be able to immerse yourself into a business and become a vital member of their team.  

Office Manager job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Monthly management accounts, including journals, supporting Excel spreadsheets and analysis of results
Daily bank reconciliation and cashbook operation. 
Manage the other two members of the finance team (Credit Controller and Purchase Ledger Clerk)
Help with stock control, customer price lists and customer contracts 

Health and safety, HR & pensions are all outsourced but there will be an element of responsibility to manage this on site on a day to day basis. You will assist the Managing Director who is hands on and be one of the companies' most vital hires in recent years.

To be considered for the position:

Need to have worked in a similar position in the past
Be able to complete Management accounts for the business each month
Lead the office whilst the Managing Director is off site in taking responsibilities in an amiable manner
Methodical and organised approach
