Job Title: Learning Support Assistants needed in Lewisham

Salary: £60 – £80/day
Job Description: As a learning support assistant, part of your role will be to create a setting that will inspire each child to become self-confident, independent life-learners who can confidently express themselves and make their own choice, whilst safeguarding, their happiness and safety. The school caters to the needs of children and young people between the ages of 11 and 19 years who have significant learning difficulties including those with an additional diagnosis of autism, and those with additional medical needs.
The school is a beautiful, purpose built, a state-of-the-art teaching and learning facility, including a hydrotherapy pool, a library and dedicated play leisure and garden spaces.
We are looking for an individual who is committed to upholding excellent standards with the high expectation that there is no defined limit to a pupils potential. All experienced, skilled staff and professionals work together positively to create the best outcomes for each pupil.
• Full time, Monday – Friday.
• Salary £60 – 80 per day.
• Relevant experience working in with vulnerable individuals or in a school within the last 3 years (voluntary welcome).
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus within a classroom environment and giving on-going 1:1 support.
• Able to provide 2 relevant references.
