Job Description: We are looking to appoint a kind, caring, firm and supportive Learning Support Assistant to provide one to one support for students within our school. The students that you will be working with are all academically able and well behaved but find the school environment generally very anxiety inducing and would benefit from a named adult to support them throughout the week as they access the curriculum.

The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly under the direction of the SENCO and class teacher, and at times independently, adapting to the pupil’s learning needs. We are looking for an exceptional individual, ideally with experience of working with children similar needs.

The right person would have the following qualities:

enthusiastic and dynamic
has experience of working with individual children with SEND
has high expectations of achievement and behaviour
has good numeracy and literacy skills
can confidently communicate with parents
can work as part of a team
be able to use their own initiative and imagination
be passionate about working with SEND children
