Salary: £75000 – £80000/annum
This is a unique and highly interesting opportunity for a fluent German speaker to join this rapidly expanding US based technology organisation. The role is a combination of business partnering and technical accounting, so calls for a strong financial accountant who also has a high degree of commercial acumen and business awareness. The key area of responsibility will focus on owning the complete trial balance for the organisation’s Austrian entity and all related areas such as balance sheet, statutory filings and tax and audit activities. You will also act as the key point of contact for the other European Offices, the other main ones being in Spain and Poland.
Whilst there is obviously a strong technical element to this role, we are also seeking an individual who understand the wider picture in terms of supporting the other areas of the business such as FP & A reporting and commercial reporting. Consequently, you will be a confident and excellent communicator with finance and more importantly non-finance, highly intelligent technology members of the business.
There is approximately 25% regular monthly (one week in four) travel to Europe (mainly Austria) which you must be prepared to undertake. The business is a true leader and at the forefront of their exciting technological innovations. They are expanding rapidly with the aim of doubling their current turnover with a 3-4 year period. They genuinely are a superb business to work for and have a reputation for recruiting high quality individuals.
Ideally you will be fully qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) although candidates with the pre-requisite experience without the qualification will also be considered. You must have the technical and commercial skills as previously stated with strong IT abilities and an avid interest in the technology sector. Fluency in German is essential
