Haaland vs Nunez and more on transfers

How Darwin Nunez will fair at Anfield and how Liverpool will do without Mane: Nunez vs Haaland, Mane to Munich, Liverpool transfer gossip and news

Darwin Nunez has officially signed for Liverpool for a reported 85 million pounds, not including future add-ons. This signing will hopefully be a massive piece of the puzzle to winning big trophies next year and in the future for Red fans. This happens as Sadio Mane is about to leave for 35 million pounds to Bayern Munich. As Divock Origi is leaving this Summer and Minamino also looks like he’ll be leaving Anfield this Summer Liverpool’s attacking situation is going to change quite a lot. Salah will probably still be around in the 2022-23 season but the future seems uncertain for him as no contract has been signed and his form has dropped since returning from AFCON.

At the moment it looks like Liverpool defence and midfield will stay the same however rumours about Jude Bellingham are still circling around. Where the most changes are happening is at Liverpool’s front three. Currently, it looks like Luis Diaz, Nunez and Salah are the strongest in the attack but it’s important to remember Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino are still alive and kicking and will be ready when called up for resting, injuries or form dropping. This attack certainly looks like it will score many goals and will definitely be one of the best in the world even if a misfortunate injury occurs to any one of Liverpool’s attackers.

Whilst everyone expected it to be Halaand vs Mbappe at Barcelona and Real Madrid, Mbappe has chosen PSG, where he can transfer anyone who doesn’t pass or if Neymar and Messi don’t let him take penalties. Also, Haaland has chosen the Premier League with Manchester City whereas Nunez has gone to Liverpool. Both players were reportedly 85 million pounds. Nunez scored 34 goals altogether last year at Benfica in 39 matches, Haaland on the other hand scored 29 goals in 29 games. It must be noted that Halaand was out for a torn muscle fibre and a hip flexor issue. Halaand turns 22 on June 21 and Nunez turns 23 on the 24th of June. Hopefully, this rivalry will be like Messi vs Ronaldo but in the Premier League, which is surely now the undisputed best league in the world.
