Job Description: About the role:

This role would suit a person who enjoys diving into issues, problem solving and designing solutions.

This person will have a passion for streamlining the way we manage our planning data across the business. By ‘connecting our plans’ you will ultimately ensure key users of our planning data can spend more time focusing on insight and decision making and less time in manual data manipulation.

The role:

Responsible for maintaining and driving improvements to the core Anaplan IBP model which acts to connect the plans across the business.
Support business/functions in developing their plans in the Anaplan platform and have visibility to the overall plan. Support Asset Planning in the development of their optimised programmes.
Support in developing the Anaplan roadmap by incorporating specific use cases and considering connection with core IBP model.
Working with business partner functional leads to run requirements gathering/analysis workshops with the business.
Analyse existing Excel models to translate into Anaplan multi-dimensional models. Ensuring key functionality is retained, whilst realising benefits of a multi-dimensional connected solution.
Designing an Anaplan modelling user experience which feels intuitive, is easy to navigate and presents key information in an easy to digest form.
Identify and systemise the imports of core planning datasets such as our Asset Planning System (APS) for business planning and financial modelling.
Fully understand business assumptions and drivers.
Have a good understanding of the regulatory planning process and concepts
Complete special projects on an ad-hoc basisKey Accountabilities:

Ensure core IBP model is well maintained, follows best practice modelling and supports needs of key users.
Support the change in mindset to driver based planning and business case mindset through interactions with the business stakeholders.
Identify requirements for, design and build new use cases (i.e. CMEX model, revenue model etc).
Maintain appropriate user security access, achieving balance between promoting transparency and controlling/protecting planning data.
Develop system/model documentation and provide user training
Ensure comprehensive UAT (User acceptance testing) is completed ahead of major new releases.
Work with digital to integrate Anaplan model with key business systems (SAP/HFM etc).
Can work with teams across the business to provide ‘consultant level’ advise on how they can utilise the Anaplan platform to improve their planning processes and provide oversight to ensure this is done in such a way that complements the IBP roadmap.
As and when roadmap requires, as number of models grows, to develop an ‘Anaplan data-hub’ to ensure the models feed off consistent set of data.To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

High level of business / financial acumen and analytical ability
Proven capability in designing building and maintaining robust models.
Ability to listen to and understand problems of stakeholders and translate into proposed modelling solutions.
Previous experience working in multi-dimensional planning tools would be an advantage.
Requires strong communication skills, with ability to explain complex trends, in a way key stakeholder can understand.
Needs to be organized and able to multitask to meet various priorities.
