Job Description: EYFS 1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Makaton Trained – Rochester

£70-£80 a day – Full-time – Immediate Starts

Supply Desk are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in EYFS. The child is non-verbal and needs consistent support so a candidate looking for a temp-to-perm role would be highly preferred. Interviews for this role would be held soon and will likely start after half-term.

The school in question is a two-form entry Primary School in Rochester and they place a huge emphasis on their caring and supportive learning environment that nurtures pupils' development to help them be positive, well rounded members of the community. The Role

Working 1:1 with a child in EYFS with Non-Verbal needs
Collaborating with the Class Teacher and SENCO in providing support for the student concerned
Liaising with the parents, giving updates on the child’s progress

The Ideal Candidate

Experience and knowledge of Makaton would be highly desirable
Previous experience working with SEN children with non-verbal needs
A background in Psychology would be desirable but not essential
Must be DBS checked (Enhanced DBS preferable)
